We operate primarily in Virginia with field teams across Texas and other regions. Our work supports some of the world’s most demanding technology environments, including projects for Oracle, Microsoft, and Google.
The company has experienced accelerated growth driven by AI-related infrastructure demand, scaling from 40 to nearly 200 total workers (employees + contractors) in under one year, with revenues exceeding $10M and projected to double.
We are now seeking an experienced HR Manager to professionalize, structure, and scale our people operations.
Position Summary
The HR Manager will be the first dedicated Human Resources leader at Cable Center. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for building HR foundations while actively supporting daily operations.
This person will serve as a trusted partner to leadership and a reliable point of contact for employees and contractors, helping guide the company through rapid growth while preserving a strong, people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Strategy & Operations

Design and implement core HR processes for a growing, distributed workforce.

Create and maintain clear job descriptions, role definitions, and career paths.

Establish HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks aligned with U.S. labor standards.

Support workforce planning as the company continues to scale.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Support

Design compensation structures for employees and contractors (field and corporate).

Advise leadership on competitive benefits packages and employee incentives.

Partner with finance/admin team to improve payroll processes using QuickBooks and time-tracking tools (U-Attend, Google Sheets).

Ensure accurate timekeeping for 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, including day/night rotations.
Employee Relations & Culture

Act as a confidential, approachable point of contact for employees and contractors.

Support labor relations in a 24/7 operational environment.

Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe workplace across multicultural teams.

Assist leadership with conflict resolution, performance conversations, and disciplinary processes.
Process Improvement & Systems

Improve HR workflows to reduce manual work and operational friction.

Help standardize onboarding, offboarding, and training processes.

Collaborate with leadership to document roles, processes, and internal manuals.

Support compliance related to safety, site access, and construction environment requirements (PPE, site protocols).
Leadership Support

Work closely with the CEO and CFO on people-related decisions.

Partner with operations leaders (PMs, foremen) to align workforce needs with project demands.

Provide guidance during periods of rapid change and growth.
Experience

Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist in fast-growing companies.

Experience supporting operational, field-based, or construction/industrial teams is a strong plus.

Comfortable working with both employees and contractors.

Experience building HR structures from the ground up.
