About ESQgo

ESQgo is a U.S.-based law firm supporting businesses and entrepreneurs with legal matters including arbitration, intellectual property, trademark protection, and brand enforcement.

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal or Attorney based in LATAM to join our legal team. This is a hands-on role combining substantive legal work with direct client communication.

The ideal candidate is intelligent, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working quickly and independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and other paralegals.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will primarily fall across AAA arbitration and brand/IP enforcement, including:

  • Support attorneys with AAA arbitration matters from initiation through resolution.
  • Draft and prepare complaints, demand letters, motions, discovery requests/responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Research and organize facts and supporting documentation for legal matters.
  • Apply facts to the relevant legal framework when preparing initial drafts for attorney review.
  • Assist with brand enforcement and trademark-related matters.
  • Support trademark portfolio/catalog management, maintenance, and related documentation.
  • Maintain organized case files, deadlines, records, and matter status.
  • Communicate directly with clients via email and Zoom.
  • Provide clients with updates, gather necessary information, and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
  • Handle client questions and escalations calmly and professionally.
  • Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal operations to keep matters moving efficiently.
  • Use internal systems/CRM to maintain accurate records and follow established processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Attorney.
  • Litigation and/or arbitration experience is required.
  • Strong legal drafting skills, including the ability to organize facts and prepare clear first drafts of legal documents.
  • Experience supporting U.S. attorneys or working with U.S. legal matters strongly preferred.
  • Intellectual property, trademark, or brand enforcement experience is a strong plus.
  • Law degree or legal education preferred.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with U.S. clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
  • Able to work independently and make decisions without waiting for constant direction.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and managing multiple matters simultaneously.

Colombia is the preferred location, although strong candidates elsewhere in LATAM will also be considered.

The Person We’re Looking For

Technical legal experience matters, but personality and communication are equally important for this position.

You should be someone who:

  • Works quickly and intelligently.
  • Takes initiative when something needs to be solved.
  • Doesn’t wait to be told every next step.
  • Is personable and confident speaking with clients.
  • Isn’t afraid to pick up the phone or join a client call.
  • Can remain calm when a client is frustrated or a matter escalates.
  • Communicates naturally rather than being overly formal or rigid.
  • Takes the time to understand clients and make them feel valued.
  • Knows when to make a decision independently and when to escalate something to an attorney.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively within a small, hands-on legal team.

What Success Looks Like

A successful person in this role will be able to take ownership of assigned matters, produce strong initial legal drafts, communicate confidently with clients, anticipate next steps, and keep work moving without constant supervision.

You’ll be joining a small team where your contribution will be highly visible and where there is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of both legal work and the client experience.

Hiring Process

The process will focus on three areas:

Legal capability — litigation/arbitration experience, drafting ability, organization of facts, and legal reasoning.

Communication — strong English and the ability to communicate confidently and naturally with clients.

Working style — speed, attention to detail, initiative, judgment, and ability to operate independently while following established processes.
