Overview
The Product Designer has 2+ years of experience designing digital products with a strong user-centered mindset, combined with a solid understanding of digital business logic and basic programming concepts.
This role goes beyond visual and interaction design. The Product Designer is responsible for ensuring that product solutions are not only usable and visually clear, but also logically structured, technically feasible, and aligned with business goals.
They work closely with UX/UI Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to design scalable products such as SaaS platforms, internal tools, and mobile applications, while also providing product and logic assessments to improve development handoffs and reduce implementation friction.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end product experiences by balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Create user-centered solutions based on market analysis, data, customer feedback, user research, and product strategy.
- Define and validate product logic, flows, states, edge cases, and system behaviors before development.
- Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to clearly communicate product functionality.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand requirements, priorities, and success metrics.
- Provide product and UX/UI assessments to the design team, ensuring designs meet logical, functional, and technical criteria before handoff.
- Review designs prior to development to identify missing states, validations, dependencies, or inconsistencies.
- Work closely with developers to ensure designs are clearly documented, technically feasible, and efficiently implemented.
- Conduct UX research activities including user interviews, usability testing, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Perform UX audits and iterative testing to continuously improve existing products.
- Stay up to date with competitor products, product patterns, and industry trends.
- Clearly communicate complex product and interaction concepts to stakeholders with different technical backgrounds.
- Follow up on product performance using metrics such as conversion rates, engagement, and heat maps.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role.
- Proven experience designing SaaS products and internal tools (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of product thinking, business logic, and digital ecosystems.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming concepts (APIs, data structures, system flows, validations, states).
- High proficiency in Figma as a primary design tool.
- Strong experience creating interactive prototypes.
- Demonstrated excellence in design craft and attention to detail.
- Experience working with and contributing to scalable design systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and translate design requirements into implementation.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments.
Nice to Have
- Background in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
- Strong understanding of front-end and back-end fundamentals, including APIs, data flow, and system architecture.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams and understanding development constraints.
- Familiarity with technical documentation and design-to-development workflows.
- Experience using Framer for marketing or product landing pages.
- Familiarity with user testing and research platforms such as Maze.
- Experience working with AI-powered tools or AI-assisted workflows.
